DESCRIPTION
Johnny McEvoy has no peer when it comes to singing Irish ballads. In 1966 he became Ireland's first folk pin-up when he had a huge hit with,"Muirsheen Durkin". Fifty-six years later, he is still at the top of his game and this outstanding collection of songs reinforces how much his soft sensuous voice and his brooding good looks, are still a part of the charisma that he exudes to this very day. 1Muirsheen Durkin 2Those Brown Eyes 3Salonika 4Gentle Annie 5The Sailor 6Where My Eileen Is Waiting 7New York Girls 8The Rare Old Times 9Runaround Angel 10The Town I left Behind 11Staten Island 12Tarry Flynn 13Alice Ben Bolt 14My Old Boat 15The Hedgehog Song 16Nora 17My Homeland 18Hard Times 19When You Say Nothing At All 20The Ballad of John Williams 21Never Smelt The Roses Disc: 2 1The Boston Burglar 2Someday You'll Call My Name 3Heart With No Companion 4Boulavogue 5The Ballad of St Anne's Reel 6Hank 7Wedding Bells 8Sing Me A Song 9Michael 10The Good Ship Kangaroo 11The Boys of Barr Na Sraide 12Going To California 13St Brendan's Fair Isle 14The Last Thing On My Mind 15Four Strong Winds 16If Wishes Were Fishes 17Rich Man's Garden 18Carrickfergus 19 Waltzing's for Dreamers & RTE Documentary: The Johnny McEvoy Story
