In 'Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi' (2017) Rey finds Luke Skywalker (Hamill) in self-imposed exile and tries to convince him to teach her the ways of the Force. Finally 'Star Wars Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker' (2019) sees the fractured Resistance unite to make a final stand in their battle against the First Order. Meanwhile Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) orders Kylo Ren to find and kill Rey, the last remaining Jedi.
