Released in 1995, the album came 16 years after her greatest visibility with the Crusaders' 1979 hit 'Street Life'. In many ways the album is very unique: it goes out of its way to appeal to urban contemporary tastes of the 90's - much of the time, the album sounds like it could have been recorded in the late 70's or early 80's instead of the mid-90's.
