Woody Allen writes and directs this magical realist romantic comedy paying nostalgic homage to Paris, the city of love. Owen Wilson stars as Gil Pender, a Hollywood screenwriter who has recently moved to Paris to rewrite his debut novel. One night, as Gil drunkenly wanders the city's streets, he is offered a lift in a magic car that takes him back to the Paris of the roaring 1920s, where he meets a coterie of his favourite writers, artists and intellectuals. His experiences lead him to re-evaluate his life, love and work.
The star-studded supporting cast includes Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen, Kathy Bates and Adrien Brody. The film won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
