Will Smith stars as tennis coach Richard Williams in this US biographical drama. Even before his daughters Venus and Serena (Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton) were born, Richard Williams was convinced that under his guidance they could become the world's greatest tennis players. In Compton, California, Richard determinedly coaches his daughters from a young age, occasionally drawing scrutiny for his obsessive methods, before seeking out coach Rick Macci (Jon Bernthal) to help take his daughters' play to the next level.
