DESCRIPTION

'The Illusion of Safety' is the breakthrough post-hardcore album from Thrice, featuring a sharp blend of punk and metal with exceptional lyrics and musicianship. The band wrote two songs per month before recording with producer Brian McTernan in July 2001 at Salad Days Studios. 'The Illusion of Safety' is an unmatched album that blended raw, underground authenticity with groundbreaking ambition. It became an immediate and enduring pillar of 21st-century post-hardcore, aging far better than its many imitators. While perfectly capturing its era, the album remains timeless, offering new discoveries with each listen rather than just nostalgia.
