The House Must Win album is conceived as a standalone musical work that draws from, and expands upon, the narrative world of Mick Flannery’s debut album Evening Train, re-imagined through years of artistic growth and lived experience. Mick has written both the script and music for the stage production, collaborating with Liam Robinson (Hadestown) on new orchestrations, bringing theatrical scope and structural ambition to the album recordings. Robinson brings a cinematic, orchestral dimension to the songs, emphasizing eerie atmospheres and dramatic tension that underscore the album’s narrative. Featured artists include Anaïs Mitchell and Yvonne Daly.
