After the incredible success of his third album, ‘Carry on the Grudge’, 2015 sees Jamie T return with the release of a brand new EP entitled ‘Magnolia Melancholia’. Led by the moody and captivating “Don’t You Find”, the EP showcases Jamie’s emotive song writing with previously unheard tracks ‘Magnolia Melancholia’, ‘Marilyn Monroe’ and ‘Riverbed’.
There’s also covers of “Mama Don’t Smoke” by 90’s cult-heroes Bran Van 3000 and a poignant, stripped-back version of The Replacements classic anthem to misspent youth, “Bastards of Young”.
“Carry on the Grudge” was a huge step forward for Jamie, being applauded from all sides with the likes of The Guardian calling it “a modern original”, Sunday Times Culture hailing the record as “a third album of such unanswerable brilliance” and NME praising it as “an inspired modern breakdown album”. Jamie was one of the most nominated at this year’s NME awards, and one of the big winners of the night walking away with 3 accolades including, Best track, Best Video and Musical Moment Of The Year for his return last year
