GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: Volume 2

One of the best cinematic experiences of last year, Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2 is finally hitting 4K, Blu-ray and DVD.

James Gunn, writer/director of the first Guardians Of The Galaxy returns for the second instalment of his three-part series. It's unclear what direction the franchise will take after Guardians Of The Galaxy 3. Gunn has confirmed that this will end the current character lineup as we know it.

Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt, Jurassic World,), Gamora (Zoe Saldana, Live By Night, Avatar), Drax (Dave Bautista, Spectre, Blade Runner 2049), Rocket (Bradley Cooper, American Sniper), Baby Groot (Vin Diesel, Fast And The Furious, XXX,) all reprise their roles for the hugely anticipated sequel.

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2 opens with the adorable Baby Groot breaking-out some impressive dance moves. Immediately catching the hearts of the viewer, we watch him dance to one of the films many classic tracks from Awesome Mix: Volume 2. When the gang arrive to collect a bounty from the high-priestess of the Sovereign people, Rocket foolishly resorts to thievery. His careless actions ignite a war, putting our intergalactic heroes in danger.

There to help save the day is Star-Lord’s father, Ego, (Kurt Russell). We learn more about Ego's heritage and past, and who he really is. Star-Lord learns that there is much more to his destiny than he could ever have imagined.

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2 is bigger, and packed with more jokes than the first film. We’re introduced to more interesting characters, each with their own story to tell. We also learn a lot more about how the Guardians got to where they are now. These new characters and the development of the characters we already know gives Gunn plenty of material for future movies set in this huge galaxy

It is reported that director James Gunn wants a spin-off series with the character Nebula (Karen Gillan)

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2 wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for an amazing soundtrack. Awesome Mix: Volume 2 plays a huge part in the film and provides the perfect accompaniment for this retro sci-fi comedy.

Artists ranging from Fleetwood Mac, Sam Cooke, to George Harrison. There isn't a single tune on Awesome Mix: Volume 2 that won't get your feet tapping.

Released on Blu-Ray, 4K and DVD across all Golden Discs stores on 1st September
